Hi, thanks so much for stopping by! I love to hear from you, so don't be shy - say Hello! (Sorry for the word verification, but spam gives me an eye twitch.)
I'm a wife, a working mom, and a CPA. A follower of Jesus who struggles daily to get my priorities in order. A going-to-get-back-to-it-someday scrapbooker. A friend, pta officer, procrastinator, late sleeper, coffee lover, wannabe whale trainer. A traveler at heart if not in real life.
With all its twists and turns, ups and downs, and even the occasional U-turn, this is daily life on the Path of Life.
And the wonderful organization we traveled with...
Give me one pure and holy passion. Give me one magnificent obsession. Give me one glorious ambition for my life, To know and follow hard after You. To grow as your disciple in the truth. This world is empty, pale, and poor Compared to knowing You my Lord. Lead me on and I will run after you.
Jesus, please help me see the beauty of this season of life....the path You have set me on. Help me recognize the unique things that only come while small children are under my care. Help me embrace sticky kisses and little finger prints and footy-pajamas and messy bedrooms and muddy shoes. Help me appreciate spontaneous hugs and silly songs and not-funny jokes and crayon creations and homework and soccer practice.
Help me understand that there will be NO GRAND ANNOUNCEMENT stating, “Mommy, this is the last time I will sleep in your bed or ask you to push me on the swing or need you to quiz me on my spelling words or want you to play Candy Land with me or tie my shoes or brush my hair or get me a drink.” Remind me never to overlook these moments as ordinary, because as sure as the seasons change, there will be a last time. (adapted from a post by Sandy at God Speaks Today)
Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows poverty, suffering, and injustice in the world when He could do something about it....but I’m afraid He would ask me the same question. ~anonymous
