Which leaves her with nothing to spend on the things she wants. Well, she found a cute little yippy puppy that she wants at Cracker Barrel - kind of like a Fur Real pet. She wouldn't feel right taking money out of the Water jar - since other people have made donations, too - and so she's been trying to figure out a way to earn the money to buy the puppy.
She is such a little entrepreneur. She is forever coming up with ideas of things she can sell to earn money. Candy. Lemonade. Toys. Even rocks. The hard part is finding customers. :)
Today, the hot item is pine cones from the trees in our yard. Here's where she set up shop. Pine cones 10 cents each....
....or a pine cone family (mom, dad, and baby) for 20 cents. Aren't they cute? And a great deal at that!
Although living on a cul-de-sac sometimes leaves us a little short on customers, she seems to have a very reliable supply chain.
Umm, wait. This is her supplier? I think I was better off not knowing. Look closely....
He scurried up there before anyone even knew it. Thank goodness Daddy found him and not me. Being raised with three brothers, I'm a pretty calm momma about boys being boys, but I'm not sure I would have handled this one as well as Daddy did. A calm, "Better come on down a little bit, Son," did the trick.
And judging from the looks of this picture, I'm not sure even Jacob realized how high he had gotten. :)
If you happen to be in the neighborhood, we would be happy to set you up with a few pine cones - or a pine cone family. You would be helping one cute little yippy puppy find his home.
I am STUNNED he scurried so far up that tree! Wow!!! Looks kinda fun...
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal on pine cones...but Kloe didn't account for liability insurance premiums, did she? Wow, he was high up there!
